The Cox C.A.R.E. Mobile will be making the next
monthly visit --Thursday, March 1, 2012.
They will provide shots for children who are on
Medicaid.
Other services that they will provide for any student includes:
Examination
of child who is ill
Routine Physical
Sports Physical
Vision and Hearing Screening
Strep Test
C.A.R.E. is free to students and community members from
infancy to 18 years of age. To make an appointment,

New Law Requires Vision Examination
State law requires that every child enrolling in kindergarten
or first grade in a public
elementary school have a comprehensive vision
examination performed by a
state-licensed optometrist or physician. Parents may request that their
child be excused from
this examination requirement and an opt-out form is available from the
nurse's office.
Students must have on file either a proper form
from their vision examination
or a completed
opt-out form from the school nurse's office before they
may start kindergarten.
