The Clever R-V School District is seeking a qualified candidate for the full time position of Paraprofessional for the 2021-2022 school year. Requirements include 60 college credit hours or passing score on the Paraprofessional Praxis Assessment. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting special education teacher in classroom instruction and care of students, which may include hygiene or other duties; maintaining student confidentiality and understanding of student’s IEP; reading tests to students, assisting with notetaking and making other accommodations as indicated on the IEP; assisting teacher in maintaining discipline by monitoring behavior of students, collecting data, and implementing behavior plans; collaborating and working effectively as a team member with peers, classroom teachers and administrators to support student/classroom learning and activities.

The Clever R-V School District is seeking a full-time custodian for the 2020-2021 school year. This is a 12 month position that includes vacation and health benefits. A school custodian plays an essential role in maintaining the building and facilities, and supporting a learning environment that promotes health, attitude and pride of students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Perform demanding physical labor and tasks/skills required to keep buildings clean.

  2. Handle minor building maintenance jobs.

  3. Assume responsibility to initiate cleaning tasks and procedures.

  4. Work with a minimum of supervision.

  5. Report to work appropriately dressed and in proper condition to perform all assigned duties.

  6. Open the building and check all assigned areas for proper working condition.

  7. Efficiently organize the daily routine and the work schedule.

  8. Ensure proper maintenance of building equipment within responsible area and notify the Building Services Director of maintenance needs outside responsible area.

  9. Ensure proper use, cleaning, requisition, and storage of all equipment, supplies, and materials.

  10. Ensure proper cleaning of all assigned areas.

  11. Maintain communication with Building Services Director concerning questions about building cleaning program.

  12. Ensure proper security of building at all times. Check appropriate doors and windows. Assure that students and/or unauthorized persons are not admitted to the buildings.

  13. Perform additional custodial duties when assigned by the administrators.

  14. Perform both custodial and maintenance duties during the summer months and assigned school vacation days.
