Opportunities Entrepreneur Night

On May 4, the 5th-8th grade Opportunities students invited their parents and families to Entrepreneur Night to shop at businesses the students had created.  For several weeks in Opportunities class, the students had worked on creating a business from coming up with a product or service to sell, to setting a price, to marketing.  During the evening, the students set up their businesses in the commons area and family members were given play money to spend at the student businesses.  Some of the creative ideas that the students came up with were origami, soap carvings, baked goods, smoothies, and a miniature golf course.
