Rescheduled PTA Class Valentine Parties will be held on Friday, February 22nd from 12-1:00.
Due to travel concerns for Skyline the game scheduled for today, has now been cancelled.We will have the Little Cheer performance at a later date.
Due to the chance for more winter weather tonight the boy's basketball game for today will be varsity only starting a 3 pm. We will start with senior recognition and have a little cheer performance at halftime and after the game.

Students in Mrs. Brown's opportunities class had the chance to hear from a special guest speaker today. Stephanie Sekscinski (Clever alum Stephanie Bryson) was in from Mercy Hospital and spoke to students about careers in biomedical research, specifically cancer research.
Attention Parents of 8th Graders! Parents and their students are encouraged to attend an informational meeting to learn about the transition to the high school. You will have the opportunity to learn about your student’s progress throughout 8th grade, their career exploration, selection of their Individual Career and Academic Plan, and upcoming transition to the high school. This event will prepare students and parents for scheduling at the high school later this semester. See the flyer for more information.
Clever hosted their 1st Archery Tournament this weekend. Over 120 competitors came out on Saturday to display their skills. The high score the event was 293/300. Thank you to everyone that helped make this a successful event.

The Clever R-V Board of Education announced on February 4th, 2019 that Mr. Benjy Fenske, with a unanimous vote, was hired to serve as Superintendent of the district. The current Superintendent, Steve Carvajal, is resigning at the end of the current school year to move closer to family.
Mr. Fenske currently serves as the Director of Elementary Education at Clever and has been with the district for over 20 years; prior to his current position he served as the middle school Principal. He began his teaching career at Pierce City R-VI School District as a high school business educator. He received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Science from Missouri Southern State College and earned his Master of Science in Education from Missouri State University, where he also earned his Specialist in Educational Administration certification. Mr. Fenske resides in Clever with his wife and two children.
The Board of Education is confident in Mr. Fenske’s vision, passion and focus on student learning and the board is excited for the future as we continue the work on Inspiring and Empowering Every Learner.

Does your child need a sports physical, immunizations for the upcoming school year, well check-up, or sick visit? The Cox Care Mobile can provide these services. The Cox Care Mobile is scheduled to be at Clever schools on February 13, 2019. The Care Mobile provides FREE services to children ages birth to 18 years. This service is provided whether you have insurance or not. Please note: The Care Mobile does charge for sports physicals to those that do not qualify for free or reduced lunches. You may call the school nurse to schedule an appointment. Thank you!
